Tentacles

Tentacles (Marty and Grace, #2)

I loved Tentacles. It is a fast-paced book and you will really feel for Marty, Grace, Luther, Wolfe, and the rest of the crew aboard the Coelacanth. In the sequel to Cryptid Hunters, Wolfe's latest mission is to be the first person to capture a live giant squid. However, Grace's grandfather, Noah Blackwood, is determined to make sure that this doesn't happen. Also, Blackwood is after more than just the giant squid. He wants the two dinosaur eggs that are below deck and Grace, Wolfe's daughter. Grace faces a decision that could change everything.

Firstborn

Firstborn (Starcraft: The Dark Templar Saga, #1)

This is a story about Jacob Jefferson Ramsey, an archaeologist who gets to lead the dig for the discovery of a lifetime. He gets to excavate an ancient temple for Valerian the emperor's son. I'm not saying anything past that point as it will ruin the book for anyone who wants to read it. I loved this book!

They bond over a story about a girl who has cancer, and use they're wish from The Wishing Factory to see the author. It's a cute story with a sad twist in the end. Funny and a good classic. Recommend it to anyone.

Animal Farm

Animal Farm

This is an interesting tale that everyone should definitely read. It's about these mistreated animals that take over the Manor Farm and change the name to Animal Farm. Then slowly, but surely, the pigs start becoming more and more like humans by building windmills, walking on 2 legs, and wearing clothes. At the end, you see that humans and animals are really the same.

Pie

Pie

Although I've read this book for the third time now, it still hits me as a fantastic (and mouth watering) story! I would love to try out one of those pie recipes, but I don't know how to bake. I love Polly, but the book was too short for me, I like books that are kind of long, but this one, it felt like I finished in two minutes! As one of the current Mark Twain Nominees, I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a short, humorous read!

Confessions of a Murder Suspect

Confessions of a Murder Suspect

Our murder suspect narrator is one Tandoori "Tandy" Angel, and yes, she is named after the South Asian food making oven. Tandy is one member of the famed Angel family of Manhattan. Malcolm, the dad, is one of two brothers that own the super successful Angel Pharmaceuticals  and Maude, the mom, is a successful hedge fund manager. And that is just the parents! Eldest sibling Matty is a Heisman Award winning NFL football player, her twin brother Harry is an artistic and musical virtuoso, and their youngest brother Hugo is a 10-year-old whiz kid. Tandy, herself, can hold her own as she is both intelligent and driven. Their father said that with Matty's charisma he could one day be President, but with Tandy's talents she will be.

Tandy is an interesting narrator, who uses a very conversational style as she relates the story to the reader. In fact, she seems to make it clear that she is peeling the story like an onion because she has to build up a trust in us in order to get a sense what she would be comfortable to share with us readers. She has also taken it upon herself to be a novice detective. She feels that she has to solve her parents murders not only to bring about justice and protect herself and her siblings, but also because she has always had an interest in one day becoming a detective herself.

This is a fantastic book and I can't wait to read the next in the series!
